Mobile Meets Fixed: How 5G Fixed Wireless Traffic Will Grow Alongside Mobile
Washington, D.C. – The FierceWireless Keynote Panel, Mobile Meets Fixed: How 5G Fixed Wireless Traffic Will Grow Alongside Mobile, will open CCA’s Annual Convention. Taking place on Wednesday, September 28 at 8:15 am PT, panelists from Ericsson, Cellcom, and GCI will focus on the path forward and how mobile operators are on their way to ubiquitous 5G service. CCA’s Annual Convention will take place September 27-29 at the Portland Convention Center in Oregon.
According to Ericsson’s latest Mobility Report, by the end of 2027, nearly 90% of all mobile subscriptions in North America will be 5G subscriptions. However, not all 5G networks are the same, and panelists will share their 5G strategies and how they see mobility evolving alongside fixed wireless and wireline. The FierceWireless panel will be live streamed.
Executives also will address how wireless carriers, suppliers, and government policymakers can respond to demands for ubiquitous 5G and examine the differences between mobility and fixed wireless. The FierceWireless Keynote Panel is sponsored by Ericsson. Panelists include:
Eric Boudriau, SVP & GM of Customer Unit Regional Carriers, Ericsson North America
Brighid Riordan, CEO, Cellcom
John Myhre, Principal, Wireless Technology, GCI
Monica Alleven, Executive Editor, FierceWireless, moderator
